Aside from asking how clothes should make you look, to which there are infinite and ever-evolving answers, women ought to ask themselves: how should clothes make you feel? Cocooned? Empowered? Beautiful? The truest expression of yourself? Do clothes make you feel any of those things? Of course, clothes are outer-directed and are always a presentation to others, but too often we neglect their inner-directedness, their impact upon the individual who wears them, and upon her preferences for self-representation.
